FIND BALANCE THROUGH MARTIAL ARTS

Training in Traditional Martial Arts brings with it an awareness.  Skills that we have, Skills that we lack, Area’s we Excel, Area’s that the Potential is Obvious.  This continuing balance between appreciation of what we have and need to improve upon what we don’t strikes a balance in every martial artist.

DEVELOP MASTERY, IN THE SKILLS OF SELF

Steve Baskis (pictured) is a Veteran that was wounded in Afghanistan.  Steve did not allow his permanent blindness to stop his pursuit to train in Martial Arts.  Pictured here in the summer of 2016, with his newly acquired Muk Jung, Steve works his Chinese Martial Arts in the pursuit of being better than he was before.  Well documented into the 14th century,

Martial Arts is more than a path to a physical culture, it is a path to developing ourselves.

Setting Goals and Understanding Objectives are critical components of any journey.  Exercising persistance and overcoming challenges are essential for our development in any part of our lives.  Awareness and Expression of our boundaries is critical for healthy interactions and relationships.  All of these personal skills are part of the Martial Arts Training.

ONE STUDENT : SEVERAL STYLES

One style does not make a complete Martial Arts Student. One student uses several styles to make themselves a complete Martial Artist.

PRACTICAL SKILLS OF THE CHINESE MARTIAL ARTS

KungFu is based on very clear objectives.  Most of which leads back to you being able to protect yourself and those you care for.  In civilian self-protection that it usually comes to one objective, being able to escape with as little blood loss and injury as possible.  In the other roles, such as law enforcement, security, military, doorman, and body-guards, the objectives can vary, and are usually well-defined for you as well.

Knowing your objective, then having the skills to carry out those objectives is crucial.

We approach the Martial Arts in a progressive and safe manner, so that you can develop at your pace and enjoy the process, while you meet some good folks along the way.

Whether you have experiences or just starting out. You will find that our Martial Art Programs are based in sound fundamental training and mutual respect. - Sifu TW. Smith
